My First Week at Sugar St. Design & Marketing Studio

Walking into my first week as a design intern at Sugar St. Design & Marketing Studio felt both exciting and grounding. The week began with a call with the founder, which set the tone for everything that followed. It was a great introduction to the studio’s vision, work culture, and approach to design and branding. Soon after, I got to know the team and how everyone collaborates across projects. A major part of the week was understanding the diverse range of brands the studio works with—primarily in the luxury and food space. I spent time reading about different brands, studying their identities, visual styles, tone, and the stories they aim to tell. This learning phase smoothly transitioned into hands-on work. I designed a brand guidelines deck, which helped me understand how consistency and clarity are maintained across brand touchpoints. Alongside that, I created social media posts and worked on social media reels for different brands, exploring how design adapts to fast-moving digital platforms while still staying true to the brand’s core identity. Overall, my first week was a blend of learning, observing, and creating. It gave me a strong foundation and a clearer understanding of how thoughtful design and strategy come together at Sugar St. I’m excited to build on this experience in the weeks ahead and continue learning from the team.
